Want to get involved in transforming the world with God’s love?

Here is some of what we have done in the past:

• collect money for disaster victims (Hurricane Katrina, the Tsunami)
• collect food for shelters and pantries
• hold baby showers for new mothers in need
• offer camp scholarships
• purchased more than 200  phone cards for the troops overseas
• provide articles for families fleeing violence and living in temporary housing
• provide scholarships for youth attending the Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia's Theological Education for Youth programs
• lead weekly worship at Islandia Adult Home
• support the Metropolitan New York Synod with regular contributions
• 31 members/family members were involved with the 9/11 resucue and recovery
• traveled to Chalmette, Louisiana, this past spring to Gethsemane Lutheran Church and helped to demolish and renovate for one week with 46 people from Calvary and other area Lutheran churches
